| Antonymous Compounds has a long history,which dates back to the period of the early Qin Dynasty and was found in oracle bones inscriptions of Yin Dynasty.However,researches that have achieved in Linguistic circle proceed from The Dictionary of Modern Chinese,which focus on Chinese ontology,discussing the Antonymous Compounds in different aspects such as its formation and evolution,construction of grammar,semantic features and so on.It is possible to make a further digging in Antonymous Compounds for teaching Chinese as a second foreign language.Therefore,the writer of this thesis regards The outline of the Graded Vocabulary for HSK as an object of study,guided by cognitive linguistics,attempting to combine it with the research of Chinese ontology to explore useful methods in teaching Chinese Antonymous Compounds as a second foreign language.This thesis includes five chapters.Chapter II to Chapter IV are the principal parts of it.Chapter II discusses three kinds of Antonymous Compounds,just like "N+N","A+A ","V+V ",and separately takes “zuoyou”、“daxiao”、“laihui”as examples to compare the difference between the semantics,grammar and pragmatics of Antonymous Compounds with morphemes that constitute Antonymous Compounds.It turns out that Antonymous Compounds are provided with a degree of universal quantification when two kinds of antonymous morphemes constitute the Antonymous Compounds and a part of adverbs come from the grammaticalization.Chapter III analyzes the situation of foreign students’ learning from Antonymous Compounds and their view on it combining with questionnaire survey.It is difficult for foreign students to study lexical meanings and category of Antonymous Compounds.Foreign students widely believe that it is necessary to teach them Antonymous Compounds.According to the results of the questionnaire which is designed to test the acquisition of Antonymous Compounds among foreign students,Chapter IV suggests teachers should attach importance to combining morpheme teaching with grammar teaching,use context teaching reasonably and strengthen innovativethinking in teaching Chinese as a second foreign language.Furthermore,the writer also compares the difference of the class between foreign students’ and traditional Chinese students’,analyses the teaching consciousness of teachers who teach Chinese as a second foreign language.Comparing it with the previous research,it is creative to take Antonymous Compounds of The outline of the Graded Vocabulary for HSK as research objects,classify and sort them out,and then take the characteristics of foreign students’ class and the teaching consciousness of TCSL teachers into consideration when seeking effective teaching strategies based on the results of questionnaire analysis,especially combining popular short video platform with teaching. |
