The objects of the paper are the “Xingkui(幸亏)” class adverbs. Based on thetheories of the three levels, the lexicalization and the grammaticalization, I try tounfold some basic features, characteristics and functional differences of the “Xingkui(幸亏)” class adverbs with the synchronic and diachronic analysis.The paper contains four chapters.The first chapter is prologue. The prologue mainly introduces the research statusof the “Xingkui(幸亏)’’ class adverbs, the main emphasis and the value of theresearch. For now, we have little special studies on them with the synchronic anddiachronic analysis togetherly. The purpose of the paper is to fill that gap.The second chapter focuses on the functional differences between the “Xingkui(幸亏)” class adverbs with the synchronic analysis on the three aspects of syntax,such as sentence construction, semantic and pragmatics. The differences of theirsentence construction mainly embody in5aspects, including syntax distribution,capability of adding “Le(了)” after them, existing alone, subsequent sentences and thewords before them. The semantic mainly embody in the level of grammaticalization,emphasis, intensity, laterality of “Xing(幸)”, style and the special sense of “Ku(i亏)”and “Kuide(亏得)”. The pragmatics mainly embody in focus highligting, sentencecategory of appling, precondition, function of jionning, collocation of compoundsentence and correlatives.With the diachronic analysis, the third chapter focuses on the shanping dates,identify standard, condition of lexicalization and the causation and mechanism of the“Xingkui(幸亏)” class adverbs, probes into the process and characteristics of theirevolvement. They all have gone through processes of lexicalization orgrammaticalization. There are both identities and differences in the processes ofthem.The fourth chapter is the conclusion of the paper.
