Manner Adverbs "自X" Learning

This dissertation puts modern Chinese adverb''自动,自行,自发"as the research object under the guidance of the three-plane theory. Based on the language facts, the dissertation makes detailed research with the method of combining form and meaning, description and explanation. In reference of predecessors' achievements, we analyze the adverb as"自x" from the semantic and syntactic, pragmatic aspectsThis dissertation will be divided into five chapters; the concrete content roughly goes as follows:The first chapter is the introduction, including research objective, the thinking method and the sources of corpus. Meanwhile we make a simple introduction of current situation on manner adverbs and adverb"自x",that is the different understanding from different scholars. Finally we introduce the essential difference between the manner adverbs and other adverbs on syntactic function and righteousness function.From the second chapter to the fifth chapter, we detailedly analyze manner adverb"自x"on semantic perspective, pragmatic perspective and syntax perspective.The second chapter investigates the constitution of manner adverb"自x"and syntactic analysis. First, we generalize the semantic features of the verbs which used with'自动,自行,自发".Secondly, we can conclude that the predication in sentences is verbal form, because manner adverbs"自x"are on fixed syntactic position. Finally, we analyze the co-occurrence sequence of manner adverbs"自x", other adverb. Namely, the second chapter basically summarizes manner adverbs"自x"on its syntax distribution and sentence distribution.Chapter three describes manner adverbs from the perspective of semantic direction and semantic features. We find that the semantic of manner adverb"自x"can point to the agent involved and stiff constituents, revealing that the meaning of manner adverb''自x"emphasizes the whole sentence. Secondly, the pragmatic aspects of its sentence are studied. We can see that manner adverb"自x"have fixed sentence distribution and co-current with auxiliary words, dynamic application and verbs of trend.The fourth chapter basically studies the discourse coherence function of manner adverbs"自x",such as supplemented cohesive function, causal cohesion function, etc.The fifth chapter describes the tone types of manner adverbs"自x".They can express affirmation, conjecture, analogy, knew, expression, etc, but basically tone of affirmation. The last part sums up and summarizes the full dissertation, and points out the deficiency of this text.
