On Application Of Parallel Texts In C-E Translation Of Commercial White Paper

Commercial White Paper is globally used by business community to facilitate the marketingcommunication，and its translation process has been inevitably linked with the parallel text for reference.By using parallel text to establish the frame of reference for translation, the translator producesspecialized foreign document complying with the genre feature of target language, meeting the targetreaders’ expectation in line with the standards of professional communication, which has become anintegral quality requirements for the translation of commercial white paper. Through the case study oftranslating "2010~2011Report on China’s Outsourcing Development" from Chinese into English, thispaper aims to explore how to enhance the role of parallel text based on three dimensions: therestructuring of discourse information, imitation of writing style and identifying terminology.
