Text-Music Relationship In Plateroy Yo

This thesis aims to use the "Music-Text Relationship" theory to analyze "Platero y Yo", composed by the Italian composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco. Beginning from the biographies of the composer and the poet, the thesis will discuss the "Music-Text Relationship" in a macro way. then It will apply the conclusions to specific pieces in "Platero y Yo" to reveal how the composer managed the relationship between music and text(literature) and made a balance in order to give a guidance to the performance of this outstanding piece.
