In the Western Zhou Dynasty, reward-based gifts frequently appeared in exchanges among the nobles. Generally speaking, academic research on this issue concentrates in two aspects:one is the textual research of gifts’names; the other is the discussion on content and significance of the conferring and awarding system. However, instead of being immutable, awarding goods, as well as the ways of awarding, have undergone a multi-stage development from early to late of the Western Zhou Dynasty. In order to adapt to the political and social conditions at that time, each stage shows its unique characteristics, which also reflect the composition and changes of social order. On the basis of previous research, this paper, from the perspective of "Goods Awarding and Power Flowing in Western Zhou Dynasty", will regard inscriptions as the main historical materials so as to re-comprehend the significance of goods rewarding, the developing process of Western Zhou Dynasty’s political culture transformation and military power replacement.
