Music innovation can be realized with inner peace(Xin Jing Qu Yi in Chinese pronunciation)-the result of my deliberate reflection on the theme of the concert.On the one hand,the name of the theme echos my own name "Jingyi".On the other hand,it is born due to the desire and wish for a good life as well as my unremitting pursuit of singing."Jing" comes from ancient literature The Six Arts of War,meaning that one has to stay true to his or her original intention with inner peace and resist temptation in such a complex and noisy world."Yi",a sign of happiness,comes from ancient classics Erya,with blessings for endless joy and peace for all the people in this new era.With this name,I also hope to convey my enthusiasm for music and display my three-year learning and progress.The songs are selected from representative folk songs,traditional drama,classical national opera and theme songs of TV plays,which shows my devotion to extensive and profound traditional Chinese culture as a postgraduate majoring in vocal Chinese music performance.It is well said that what's unique for a nation is also precious for the world.The more the nation's culture is appreciated,the more it can be studied and popularized,the more it can contribute to the world's culture.As a postgraduate and a folk singer,I will always be grateful and dedicate myself to excellent traditional music.Towards this goal,I would like to absorb all kinds of musical nutrition and constantly stay hungry for knowledge so as to make my part of contribution to promoting correct values and Chinese culture.
