A Study On The Inscriptions Of Wei Dynasty And Jin Dynasty

The inscription is one of the oldest styles. Compared with the Qin and Han, the research on the inscriptions of Wei Dynasty and Jin Dynasty is relatively weak, and there is still much to research..From a comprehensive perspective of folklore, cultural anthropology, aesthetics and literary point of view, the article is devoted to the research of inscriptions of Wei Dynasty and Jin Dynasty and falls into three parts.The preface part is about a review of research on the inscriptions in Wei Dynasty and Jin Dynasty , the stylistic features , the background and the inscriptions subject matters.The second part is the main part of the paper, a total of three chapters.The first chapter is on a study of the weapon inscriptions in Wei Dynasty and Jin Dynasty ,taking the pillow and the stick inscriptions as an example. The author has an insight into the persons'opinions of turbulent force and finds them using pillows and sticks to comfort themselves.The second chapter elaborates on cultural meanings of dress and animals and plants inscriptions in Wei Dynasty and Jin Dynasty from a perspective of the folklore and cultural anthropology. Animals and plants inscriptions demonstrate that people pray for longevity in troubled times, emphasis on family and scholars hope to keep a low profile in politics circle, change themselves from time to time to save much trouble. Clothing inscriptions were made on the defense of Confucianism.The third chapter is on the functions of the mountain and person inscriptions. The article reveals the aesthetic tendency from the aesthetic means to let virtues manifested in mountains and the gradual process of persons inscriptions from virtues to talents , from talents to charm.
