Research On Crime Story In "Sanyan Erpai"

"Sanyan Erpai" is a masterpiece of the Ming Dynasty vernacular short stories. Literary works have practical significance. Every literary works reflect the prevailing social realities."Sanyan Erpai"works highly enriched the world of the marketplace, and is a reproduction of the living conditions of ordinary folk in the bottom of society. It also depicts in detail the change of the people’s opinions facing to the corruption and incompetence of the ruling class. At the same time in the story a lot of phenomenon of crime appears, such as "looting" cheating"" murder "and" steal". the thesis based on the "Sanyan Erpai" crime story. Through in-depth reading of the text, the author organized, classified of the crime story, and analyzed characters, and has put forward their own views to the art of story characteristics.This thesis can be divided into six parts.The first part is the Introduction.The second part is the background and classification of "Sanyan Erpai" Crime Story. The crime story is a total of59examples and can be divided into four categories, in which there’re26examples of looting,22of cheating,3of murder, and8of theft. It using the form of table to intuitively present lots of information, such as, the names of the victims of the story, the offender name and social status, the gist of the story, the results, the title and volume number and so on.The third part argued the cause of the "Sanyan Erpai" Crime Story mainly from three aspects: the expansion and the proliferation of desire; distortions and decay of moral values; weak and lack of legal awareness. It revealed the strange phenomenon of the materialistic and morally bankrupt society, and tried to find out where the reason lies in.The forth Part, which is the main part of this thesis, analyzed "Sanyan Erpai" offenders’ images, and gave the analogy on the images of looters, cheaters, murders and the thieves.The fifth part talked about the narrative art of "Sanyan Erpai" crime Story, which were analyzed and discussed from three aspects:the ending way, the structural model, and the logical story plot.The sixth part is the conclusion.The thesis focused on the analysis of the inner world changes of characters, grasped the personality traits, and highlighted the characters’humane features. It tried to find out how literary works reflect the crime stories both from the literary point of view and psychological point of view.
