Outdoor advertising has been a necessary form to publicize outdoor media in our daily life, which explains its daily increasing attention from people and has been a major publicity form for businesses and media. Recent years, outdoor advertising has been keeping pace with the four major media home and even has a trend to overwhelm them, which make us take an interest on the study of its various manifestation forms.With the modification and development of economic and humanity environment, there are numerous outdoor advertisings in Yan Ji. All kinds of outdoor advertising appeared in the streets have become an indispensible scene in the city.Based on the different types of advertising in Yan Ji, my paper aims to analyze their different manifestation forms in perspective of style, color, format and materials, trying to find a manifestation form that shows integrity, normative and beauty out of various kinds in order to achieve a harmonious unity of business value and humanity value, which will make the outdoor advertising forms in Yan Ji more abundant and complete.Various types of outdoor advertising in Yanji can be divided into following types structurally:neon advertising, electronic display advertising, signs advertising, and storefront advertising, and light box advertising, which all show their characteristic on style, color, format and materials. The common characteristics that they share is that the majority of format they use is rectangle or traditional pattern elements which has a simple manifestation, and most of them use exterior luminaries to set off, and the materials that they use are mainly woods, glass steel tubes and sheet metals, and they use white, red, blue and black as main color, format is traditional and simple, style is not unique and has no novel frames. At the same time, most outdoor advertising reflects the characteristics of print ads with larger ad script and clearer business logo, and the backgrounds are always graphs or images, lack of creativity and enjoyment. The development of outdoor advertising in Yanji should be protrude the regional and ethnic characteristic. When focus on the presentation of creative thinking, we should also achieve a city planning which shows harmony,unity and closeness with surrounding envrionment, thus make the manifestiation of outdoor advertising full of varieties to create new innovations.
