The Study Of Flute Playing Art Of Tiechui Wang

Tiechui Wang is a famous flute virtuoso in Northern flute clique, who is a national first-grade actor in Central Orchestra of Nationalities and enjoys special government allowances. He is the director of Artists United Friendship Conference in China Ministry of Culture and a member of Chinese Musician Association. Now he works as the honorary Chairman of National Philharmonic Association of China and serves as president of Professional Committee of Ba Wu and Cucurbit flute. Tiechui Wang was awarded for Outstanding Lifetime Contribution to National Arts by China National Philharmonic Association, besides, he was also included in the "Dictionary of Chinese Celebrity Artists". Tiechui Wang is acclaimed as a famous Northern clique flute master after Zicun Feng, Guanyue Liu, Songting Zhao and Chunling Lu. He has made outstanding contributions on flute composition, playing, flute arts inheritance and development.This paper, through analyzing Tiechui Wang’s artistic career, playing style, formation background of music composition as well as his great contribution to flute arts, systematically studies and summarizes Tiechui Wang’s flute art. I expect this paper can give enlightenments to later generations and make some contributions to improving the research of flute history, inheriting and developing Northern clique flute arts.
