Hebei Blowing Songs, emerged in 1920s, is a kind of traditional Chinese folk music. Its formation and development are inextricably linked with the history and culture of Hebei Province. Wang Tiechui, one of the famous bamboo flute players, whose family plays Hebei Blowing Songs for Generations, was born in Zi Wei Village, Ding Zhou County, Hebei Province. And he was influenced by the Hebei Blowing Songs from childhood. He mastered the tube, suona and bamboo flute playing skills, and learned a large amount of instrumental music of Hebei Blowing Songs. He absorbed the essence of folk music widely, and applied them to his music creation. From his creations of bamboo flute solo, we can explore the impact of Hebei Blowing Songs on his bamboo flute art. In this article, we try to expand the relationship between Wang Tiechui's bamboo flute art and Hebei Blowing Songs by the introduction of Wang Tiechui's art experiences and the analysis on the style of Hebei Blowing Songs.
