This paper makes a comparative research on the vocabulary of Eastern Yogor and Mongolian in terms of its form and meaning, and shows the present status of Eastern Yogor and its process of development according to the correspondences between the words.This paper is made up of four parts, namely, introduction, chapter one, chapter two and conclusion. The introduction introduces the purpose, significance, previous research and methods. Chapter one compares the form of the words in Eastern Yogor and Mongolian and comes to a conclusion that there are a great deal of cognate words in the two languages as well as plenty of terms concerning stock raising while few words indicating new and fresh things in Eastern Yogor. Chapter two makes a contrast of the meaning of the words in Eastern Yogor and Mongolian, then points out that there is semantic correspondences between the two languages; Eastern Yogor includes many words which is from Mongolian and some other dialects; the phenomenon of word loss also exists in Eastern Yogor. Lastly, new findings are summarized in the conclusion.
