Research On Semantic Openness Of Beidao’s Untitled Poems

The nature of the misty poetry lies in the discourse ambiguity. This thesis adopts theanalysis method of Greimas’ structural semantics, selects Beidao’s16untitled poems as thedescription subjects, and analyzes the semantic frame of all poetic units at all levels based onthe principle of opposition and complement, respectively from the horizontal syntagmaticrelationship and vertical paradigmatic relationship of the language symbols. In terms of thehorizontal syntagmatic relationship, the poem texts can be cut into the smallest semantic units,by which the semantic relations can be analyzed, revealing the semantic structure of Beidao’suntitled poems. In terms of paradigmatic relationship, Greimas’ Rectangular matrix is adopted,and elements are extracted to determine the associative relations reproducing the poet’s codingmode. From form to meaning, from horizontal relation to vertical relation, multidimensionalsemantic network of Beidao’s untitled poems is shown with the purpose of exploring thedescription analysis of effective method and its misty nature of Beidao’s untitled poems.
