Li Shang-yin, one of the most famous poet in last period of Tang Dynasty .He is thoroughly accomplished in parallel prose writing, and has very high success in poetry literary .So he became known as "Li Du Junior" with Du Mu , was called as"warm Lee" together with Wen Ting-yun. "Untitled"poem, which express his emotion, image, feelings, sad, and the tragic life experience and situation ,is his representative work in Tang Dynasty poetry world. William Shakespeare is the greatest English playwright and poet in Renaissance .Shakespeare held his major achievements, which are not only on his play ,but also on his sonnets ,are on the basic of "Renaissance".The sonnet praise the spirit of "truth kind and beauty" and also criticized the unfair and cruelty in reality. The times of Shakespeare determine the content of his poetry positive thinking, language fresh and beautiful, expressive, enlightening.Late this particular historical environment of the aesthetic qualities, but also a profound impact on the yin style of writing, he is the gap between reality and ideals into realized that the true feeling, and euphemism to express their twists and turns in the "Untitled" poem. The two poets are the dazzling stars in the sky of literature in each age and countries .It is my persuasion that having the comparison of the talents between the poetry of Li Shang-yin and William Shakespeare will give us a profound understanding and create a new view on the East and West culture ,historical period and spirit of nation. And I am also convinced that there will be a certain degree of academic value of this work.Poems have an unitive tradition in "truth kind and beauty". In this thesis , I will detailed analyse the theory of "truth kind and beauty" part between the two .In the comparison of "natural imagery" aspects ,Li Shang-yin's "Untitled" poem tends to create a hazy, subtle beauty of imagery ,which is also used comparatively loose and casually .Because of the full of suggestions ,as it often happens ,it is hard to get what the poet meant , so his Titleless poems need to read with diligence and attention .On the other side ,Shakespeare's imagery is very clear ,extreme and has the effect of intense and passional .His images have flexible and diversified forms : some are launched around a central image, and some have in common a series of images .Through them ,his sonnets have unbalanced state of affections ,full of vigor.Shakespeare's sonnets and the yin of "Untitled" is all covered a lot of natural imagery, though in different foreign languages, the poet's life from different backgrounds, even in time have no intersection, but the two poets in the natural imageuse and still have a grasp on the similarities. The source of Chinese and Western culture as a starting point, that "Heaven" and "Subject and Object Separation" Chinese and Western philosophy, a way to find these similar "natural images" behind the differences and the nature of the underlying causes. Two kinds of verse in the Psalms there are many similarities in structure, although the English and Chinese are different languages, in the form of expression, there are big differences in English use the form joint convergence means the convergence of Chinese using the consensual meansBut in the poem coherent semantic structure exhibits a lot of similarities, have adopted a "play, transition," the poem pattern.Shakespeare's poetry of innovation based on traditional sonnet inheritance, and given the characteristics of individuals and the prevailing spirit of the times.Yin is inventive, creative writing options "Untitled" poem, which is more suitable for his subtle feminine, Unspoken Obscure wind, he implied that hazy beauty to the superlative.
