Teaching foreigners Chinese characters is one of the most important parts of TeachingChinese as Second Language. The problem that Chinese character is very difficult to learnhas been for a long time, but which has not been resolved. This paper tries to, from thecharacteristic of Chinese characters, cognitive perspective of learners, and the teachingmethod, to analyze the Preliminary Chinese characters in the Graded Chinese Syllables,Characters and Words for the Application of Teaching Chinese to the Speakers of OtherLanguages. The paper adopts the factor analysis, comparison to compare the presentsituation and the passed situation of Preliminary Chinese characters, hoping to apply whatwe have learned to the teaching. Therefore, we would search for a much reasonable,scientific method of teaching.The paper main contents are:The first chapter, mainly from the aspects of the component of Chinesecharacters----stroke, Chinese character component and the whole character, concludes thepresent situation of.teaching Chinese character. From the existing research, we can findthat teaching foreigner Chinese character is the weakest link in Teaching Chinese asSecond Language.The second chapter in “the present situation of primary Chinese characters" analyzesthe numbers of strokes, Chinese character component and the whole character of theprimary Chinese character, and then compares with the Intermediate Chinese character andAdvanced Chinese character, point out their use value in Teaching Chinese as SecondLanguage.The third chapter is about the research of the primary Chinese characters. Mainly the Chinese characters can be divided interiorly, and then from the aspects of sole characterand compound character, the author explores the relation between the characters and thepronunciation, meanings recorded, to deepen understanding in learning Chinese character.In The fourth chapter the research on present situation of Chinese characters and onthe passed situation of Chinese characters would be compared, and then the correspondingrelations between the two are discussed.Through the analysis above, through the research on present situation of Chinesecharacters and on the passed situation of Chinese characters, we can see more clearly thatthe relevance of evolution of Chinese characters. Therefore, we should make the best useof the advantages of components, the whole character strokes, choose the most rational andscientific teaching methods to serve for teaching Chinese characters. |
