Li Yu is both a writing practice and a theoretical work. It is a rare phenomenon inChinese and Western drama history to have articulation of interaction in dramawriting and theory. Compared to the Western scattered dramatic theory of theoutsiders’, and people inside the drama writing practice (i.e.: the audienceappreciation and directing practice act as one pleases),in Comparative Poetics of hisconcern, it is to talk about others and self-awareness of the good way, and on Li Yu’ssense of the world in a useful exploration..From the perspective of comparative poetics, employing mutual penetration andcomprehensive care theory, this thesis makes a comparative study on Li Yu’s dramacreation and his theory of drama in the domestic and foreign drama development, attempting to explore the unique aesthetic implication of Li Yu’s theory. From twodimensions—synchronic and diachronic analysis of Li Yu’s dramatic theory it doesresearch on his drama aesthetic implication and philosophy meaning. Thus, it exploreshis creative drama and the essence of his drama theory. From the perspective of morality, the features of his opera unconsciously wellcombine free law and natural law in its connotation, which is different from the merelove of men and women. The characters in his operas are of a sense of selfindividuality. They both admire Freedom Law, but are also restricted and disciplinedby social norms and restriction of the clan ethics. Therefore, in morality he employsthe form of the combination of free law and natural law to get rid of the norms andrestrictions that oppress humanity and reasons. Facing this conflict, he often take theeclectic approach; from the ethical point of view, his drama ’s character is very bright, not simply to create symbols, is full of personality, personal ethics is very prominent, and creatively, and coordination of individual ethics and social public ethics. Thus itcan be seen, he treats the ups and downs of life as a kind of mutually can betransformed into normal. His special life brand makes his plays not solely forlaughing, but also take on a wise man of Zen meditation; from the aestheticperspective, he argues, one can really find, or enjoy the funny, after all, not to the church, but the" nature " brings; from social and cultural perspective, his drama paygreat attention to combine with life, and create new styles to be realistic background itdisappear, leaving cultural poetic fantasy. Reading his dramatic works, one obviouslywill feel a kind of social culture smart care and the mysterious illustration full of witand humor, hidden but beautiful spot to the social culture, a new reference, givepeople a long bound souls cast a clever solution.
