Research On The Aesthetic Characteristics Of Chinese Piano Works Containing Traditional Opera Elements

Originated from the west,piano has been the carrier of culture constantly accompanied with today’s Chinese music.It is only nearly a hundred years since the piano being introduced to China,but the modern Chinese piano music develops rapidly.Based on the inheriting Chinese traditional music culture,integrating the modern western composition techniques,the current piano music shows a flourishing developing trend.The Chinese traditional opera,which originated from the primitive song and dance,is a kind of comprehensive stage art style with a long history.As a crystallization of traditional culture,it is integrated into the outlook,values and morality of life and that embodies the national aesthetic psychology,containing profound philosophical inspiration.The Chinese composers consciously introduce the elements of traditional opera music into piano music creation,and they produce many masterpieces blended with Chinese and western music culture,so that a new aesthetic characteristic emerges.This paper summarizes the developing process of Chinese piano art,sorting out the Chinese piano works containing opera elements in detail.Moreover,we analyze and then find out the traditional opera elements and their aesthetic characteristics from some representative works.This paper is divided into four chapters:the first chapter is an overview of the history and development of Chinese piano art;in the second chapter,we elaborate some Chinese piano works that contain different traditional opera elements and have them categorized;in the third chapter,we select and apply three piano works that contain different opera elements,and make analysis from their creative technique,performance version,aesthetic characteristics,and so on aspects;in the forth chapter,we find out the aesthetic characteristics of the Chinese piano art that contain opera elements under the influence of modern music trend of thought.
