The adverb "ye" possesses various functions and is frequently used in Chinese. This essay analyses the word from multiple perspectives. The inner differences of "ye" is explained in terms of sentence pattern, semantic features, pragmatic functions, etc. Considering the meaning of "ye", the research studies different types of errors of this adverb from the third-year and fourth-year students in Khon Kaen University in Thailand with the research methods of corpus analysis and comparison in terms of syntax and semantic conditions. The reasons for the errors are also summarized.In order to know the problems of the usage of "ye" from Thai students, questionnaire is adopted in collecting data about the acquisition of "ye" among the third-year and fourth-year students in the Thai university. The research findings are as follows. First, students have problems about the rules of Chinese in terms of semantics, structures and pragmatics. Second, the first language interference affects students.At the end of the essay, the similarities and differences between Thai and Chinese are mainly compared in terms of the specificity of Thai and problems of Thai students in acquiring the Chinese adverb "ye". Teaching strategies and methods are also raised. In accordance with the comparison and error analysis, problems and rules are found. The essay may help the Thai students learn Chinese as well as provide the reference for the research in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Reverse order with the prime word is a special phenomena,which drives from the monosyllabic to the development of multisyllable words.It includes three aspects’.words containing the same morpheme,morpheme in reverse order,pairs of compound words.This is unique to the Chinese vocabulary system,which not only plays an important role in Chinese vocabulary,but also shows their unique function in Chinese vocabulary teaching for foreign students.
