Zuozhuan, Adverb Research

“The study on the language of the special book is the base of the study of thehistory of Chinese.” For a long time, for the characteristics of large quantity, many typesand complex nature, the study of the adverb is still inadequate in the study of FunctionWord in ancient Chinese. Zuo Zhuan, which has rich language and a large vocabulary, isthe earliest, most detailed and complete chronological history book, and it is anexcellent sample of Pre-Qin Chinese. This paper chooses Zuo Zhuan as a data bank, andmakes an exhaustive statistical investigation and analysis of all the adverbs in ZuoZhuan. According to the standard of a combination of the meaning and function, weclassified all the adverbs, and describe the use of the adverbs in details.The main content and frame is as follows:The first section is preface, which focuses on introducing the works on this topicand research meaning, present study and research methods.The second part is the main part of the paper. In this part we explain the usage ofthe adverb one by one.The third part is conclusion. We summarize the characteristics of Zuo Zhuanadverbs.
