In recent years, the increasing enthusiasm for Carve-out is accord with low successful rate.The graduates who can not adapt to the business easily suffer from the psychological problems asdepression and pessimism. The researchers has put forward that the adaptive ability is one of thestandards which are used to explore the graduates’ mental health. This study first investigates theadaptive status and characteristics of the Carve-out students in Zhejiang Province. The effectivefactors for the adaption are further discussed and the model for effective factors is designed.This study takes1318undergraduates from4colleges as the subjects and regards5scales asresearch tools. On the basis of relevant methods, the relation-structure model of the factors whichhave effects on social adaption is further put forward. The conclusions are as follows:1. The adaptive status and characteristics of the Carve-out students: there’s a significantdifference between the Carve-out and non carve-out students on the total score of social adaptationand adaption of interpersonal relationship, study, campus life and choice of occupation. No sexdifference on the total score of social adaptation among the carve-out students while the boys’score on interpersonal relationship is significantly higher than that of girls’. The students who areon the first stage of the carve-out adapt significantly well than the ones on the developing stages.Furthermore, the students majored in social science adapt significantly well than that of thestudents majored in science.2. The personality, social support, the way to deal with, the closeness of family are significantlycorrelated with social adaptation. Due to the design of the path model, personality, social support,the way to deal with, the closeness of family have direct effects on social adaption; moreover,personality and the way to deal with have indirect effects on social adaption with social support;family adaption has indirect effect on social adaption with social support.This research enlarges the present study on the psychological characteristic of carve-out,perfects the theoretical research about social adaption, provides experimental support for the practice of the carve-out education and will be helpful for the education of mental health on highschools.
