Chaohu Lake Basin River presents unique distribution of complexityof the river changes,subject to the intricate natural environment,inhistorical period. These changes got profound impacts and closed toregional economic development.The upstream water system of Chaohu Lake is make up of the seven majorriver systems and another17rivers. Due to the rainfall season, theregional distribution of differences,these rivers showed the level ofwater is high in spring and summer,and it is low in autumn and winter;rivers of the west and north of Chaohu Lake is a larger number and scale,these of the south of it is short. Chaohu Lake has had goen into theChangjiang River,or both, in Ruxu Estuary,Zhakou Estuary and YuxiEstuary. Different estuaries took different names, it was called Ruxuriver,Zhashui River,Yuxi River. The reasons for the changes of estuariesand River Roads were mainly silted river, human cultivation, and theembankment collapses of Changjiang River.Whether it is the rivers to the Changjiang River or the upper reachesof river systems are the rivers of Chaohu Lake Basin, the carrier of thetransport in the Chaohu Lake Basin, and conducive to regional economicdevelopment. For example, it is clearly that the distribution of riversand navigable capacity of distribution with the town, the closerelationship of the scale. As river showed the export-oriented featuresand inward-looking, the local distribution of Chaohu Lake basin towns andtransport hub of town are two types. However, due to population pressure,more conservative, industrial structure,and other reasons, the town ofChaohu Lake Basin in addition to the Sanhe Town and Yuncao Town a largerscale, other urban development is more conservative. This has led to theChaohu Lake Basin to the lack of influential economic center, there isno overall economic advantage, then lost in the tide of history.
