Evaluation Of Chinese Textbooks For Korean Children

The first mission of teaching work is to find the right textbook. Textbookcan have a great influence on the teaching process by its quality: it canaffect students’ enthusiasm for study and teachers’ teaching quality. Asa Chinese teacher who used to work in Korea, the author of this paper foundthat we cannot ignore the effect of textbooks on teaching foreign childrenChinese. But the problem is an excellent textbook suitable for Koreanchildren is extreamly hard to find.Thus, this paper tries to evaluate <LoveChildren Chinese>(the textbook used by Changjin Elementary School of Busan,Korea) through outer and inner structure, then through6detailed aspects:over-all format, courses structure, subjects and content, phonetic part,vocabulary and the length of the Corpus, to make best use of the advantagesand bypass the disadvantages, offer some suggestion to Chinese textbooksfor Korean Children. Hope can be help to those Chinese teachers sent to Koreaor other countries abroad and the edit of oversea Chinese textbooks. This paper contains five parts:The research motivation, research object, research method,signification, etc will be introduced in the First Chapter. The Second Partis about the theoretical summarization. Being a crucial part, the ThirdChapter is going to analyze and estimate <Love Children Chinese1> throughtwo macroscopical aspects, six microcosmic items. The Fourth part, ChapterFour is about to summarize the textbook analysis and evaluation, then makesuggestions to the edit of Chinese textbooks for Korean Children.The lastChaper of this paper is to sum up the whole thesis and to point out thedeficiency of the research.
