Chinese education in South Korea has made an unprecedented development. Increasing the demand for materials, but wether the material is good or bad decide the quality of teaching. Material Evaluation can be conducted from the general foreign language teaching in which the level of science to find the world as a second language teaching materials compared to the gaps.This dissertation gruounded on the theories of material evaluation in the inside and outside of the country, proposes evaluation criterion specific for korea middle school Chinese textbooks,and by combining this evaluation criterion and survey results of Nam moon middle school students and teacher at the north of Gyeong Gi– Do, proceed material evaluation about the middle school chinese textbook of NEXUS company. And also providing suggestions for writing korea middle school textbook.The study found that 1. the basic materials meet the curriculum requirements, But compared with other materials, this textbook has too many learning contents, but fewer comprehensive language skill practices, which does not meet the curriculum requirements. 2. The textbook should meet students'interests, though the materials can meet the teachers and students'needs.The results will help guide teachers to prepare middle school Chinese textbook, and provide evidence for the material writers in later material revision and production.
