Quotations, a very important style in the history of Chinese literature with The Analects ofConfucius as its representative works, has a far-reaching impact on the later generations. with theadvance of history and the development of media,“quotations" has gone through the pre-Qinprose, Poetry of the Song Dynasty, red Quotations, modern popular quotations, etc. it set off theboom of quotations again and again, and shows a clear rheological track with its vitality andunique charm of the words. In the process of evolution, the stylistic characteristics of quotationsslowly faded, gradually becoming a popular quotations cultural phenomenon. On the basis ofsorting out the rheology of Quotations, the author looks forward to explore the differentcharacteristics presented in different historical periods from some aspects, namely the text carrier,the text form, the text contents and text expectation and analyzing how a "style" evolves into a"cultural phenomenon” by comparison. And from the perspective of media reform, readingexpectation, text fragments in the modern context, and discourse demands in modern consumersociety, this paper explores the public psychology on evolution of quotation writing style.
