Recently, with the popularity of Chinese, more and moreKorean start to learn Chinese. Not only the universities haveChinese class, but also the elementary and secondary school.It’s a challenge to the Chinese teacher in South Korea. It’snecessary to study the Chinese teaching methodology accordingto the countries and students of different ages. The author hasinvestigated the difficulties of Chinese teaching inelementary schools when I taught Chinese in Korea. Using the Choice theory and Cognitive development theory, the authordeveloped the children’s Chinese class of choice and achievedvery good teaching effect.Hope it will help the Chineseteachers who will go to South Korea with these sorted teachingobjective and skills.The text is divided into seven parts:The background and the purpose of this paper was introducedin the first part, the Chinese class situation of the SouthKorean’s elementary school was also mentioned. The second partincluded the theoretical objective and the status of this studydomestic and abroad. The teaching skills which can fulfill thechildren’s five basic needs were described in the third,fourth and fifth part. Some suggestions to the MTCSOL studentswere given in the sixth part. The last part mentioned shortageof this paper.
