The ancient Hei Longjiang is a sparse population with huge area, which is known as“no living things field”,“ancient wasteland”. Between Kang Xi and Qian Long period, Qing Dynasty carried out the“prohibition policy”which was limited the massive inflow of population into this district. The literature shows that, in the late nineteenth century, the population of Hei Longjiang was less than half a million. From the late Qing Dynasty, Qing government lifted the prohibition policy gradually, carried out immigration policy , and natural disasters, all these driven a large number of immigration in Hei Longjiang" the ancient wasteland" started to show an infinite vitality.Immigration brought advanced production tools, improved the development of agriculture, the population increased rapidly, they defended the border areas stability, and accelerated the development of local industry and business and the process of urbanization. In the process, the immigration were in the hard work, formed the“Chuang Guan Dong”spirit, the spirit is a valuable spiritual and cultural wealth of Hei Longjiang , the spirit’s historical role is obvious.In comparison with other districts, the history study of Immigration in Hei Longjiang area is so weak, needs further expansion. In the obtained results, most of them is a statement of the immigration history, which lack of full analysis. This thesis attempts to draw on the results of previous studies, focused on the immigration on regional variation in Hei Longjiang, land development, Hei Longjiang cultural form shock the prohibition policy and the modern meaning of“Chuang Guan Dong”spirit.In this thesis, we will discuss the Late Qing Dynasty Immigration in Hei Longjiang. During this period, there is the first peak of Hei Longjiang’s immigration history, not only influenced this district deeply, but also laid the basis for the development of Hei Longjiang, and the later immigration all based above all. This thesis is divided into four parts:The first part, introduces the evolution of Hei Longjiang mainly, and the phenomenon of migration within the relationship of Hei Longjiang’s lifting policy before 1861.The second part, discusses the Hei Longjiang immigration in the historical process in the period from Hei Longjiang’s lifting policy to 1931, which is separated by the total lifting.The third part, discusses about the content from the immigration in the land development in Hei Longjiang, the formation of modern towns, the evolution of cultural aspects of Hei Longjiang, there are all these the historical role of Hei Longjiang.The fourth part, discusses from the block policy, land fallen, and "Chuang Guan Dong" spirit, there is a deep concerns of the immigrant to Hei Longjiang.
