With the development of the society and medical science, the medicaland healthy undertakings in our country have made great progress. However,in recent years, the problem of being difficult and expensive to see a doctorhas become the people’s focus. The relationship between doctors and patientsbecomes increasingly tense and the conflicts between doctors and patientshave intensified. From the survey, it is known that the causes of theseconflicts result from the economic inceptive, the lack of policies andregulations, doctor-patient communication, information asymmetry, the lackof doctor’s sense of responsibility and good working attitude and the negativeeffects of public propaganda. The Hospital of the Inner Mongolia MedicalUniversity hasn’t had the perfect system to prevent the conflicts betweendoctors and patients. The doctor-patient conflicts are deepened increasingly. The author puts forward that the medical social work should be affiliated intothe work in hospital in this situation. The introduction includes three contents. At first, it is about thedevelopment and present research situation of the medical social work athome and abroad. It can be found that at present, the medical social work is inthe situation of no work, no man and ignorance in most of the hospitals in our country. Then, it introduces the related concepts of the medical social work. Finally, it expounds the necessity of carrying out medical social work, that is,it is not only beneficial to improve service quality and save medical cost, butalso good to insist medical ethics and ease the doctor-patient relationship.Section3is the basic hypothesis, the research ideas and research methods, ofwhich the data source methods include questionnaire method usingdescriptive method. The first chapter analyzes the patients’ cognition to the medical socialwork and their level of demands. Section1is the demographic characteristicsof respondents. Section2is the analysis of the patients’ cognition status of themedical social work and the level of demands, including the patients’ basiccognition of the medical social work, recognition and the analysis of demands. Finally, it compares the cognition and demands of doctors and patients. In thesurvey, we can find that28.57%of medical workers and45.67%of patientswho have never heard of the medical social work. Both of them don’t knowabout the medical social work very much.22.85%of medical workers andnearly half of patients don’t recognize it very much.88.57%of medicalworker and75.59%of patients and their families need the medical socialwork very much. This is because society doesn’t do much propaganda of themedical social work. The people don’t know much about the importance of itand we don’t have enough professional people. The second chapter further analyzes the results and causes and gets theconclusion. What’s more, it further discusses the existing problems of themedical social work affiliated into the Hospital of the Inner MongoliaMedical University. Through the survey we can find that the patients’cognition status of the medical social work should be improved greatly andthe affiliation of the medical social work meets the demands of patients. Themainly existing problem is that the support from government and thecompetent department of hospitals is not enough. Secondly, we are lack ofpolicies and regulations. Thirdly, we are lack of theoretical research. Fourthly, the department of the medical social work hasn’t been set up. Fifthly, the medical social service system is difficult to stand up. Sixthly, the socialcognition situation of the medical social work should be improved greatly. What’s more, the specialized level of the medical social work organization islow. Finally, the resources net work hasn’t been formed yet.The third chapter discusses the influence factors of the medical socialwork affiliated into the Hospital of the Inner Mongolia Medical Universityand tries to come up with some countermeasures and suggestions. Theinfluence factors include as follows. At first, the government and thecompetent department of hospitals don’t pay much attention to medical socialwork. Secondly, government doesn’t recognize the medical social workenough and it is difficult to perfect the policies and regulations and deepentheoretical research. Thirdly, social work educational system and medical andhealthy system have nothing to do with each other. They can’t communicateenough. Fourthly, the expenses and posts in hospital are very little, so theseparate medical social service department can’t be set up. What’s more, thepropaganda system is not sound and it is difficult to change the presentcognition situation of no work, no man and ignorance. Finally, the presentsituation restricts the improvement of the specialized level of organization. All of the efforts can’t be mobilized enough and the resources net works can’tbe made full use of.
