ObjectivesThe third lumbar transverse process syndrome is a commonclinical disease, waist and leg pain, good hair in the elderlyand in young adults. The disease belongs to the waist of chronicsoft tissue injury disease, clinical on the use of conservativetreatment, the effect is not very ideal. A new understandingof etiology and pathology of acupotomy of chronic soft tissueinjury of the disease, the paper proposes a new theory ofetiology and pathology of chronic soft tissue injury study.Under the guidance of this theory, application of acupotomy intreating this disease. Methods, achieved a good therapeuticeffect in clinic, but there is no deep research on its mechanismof action. This topic with Acupotomy manipulation in thetreatment of the third lumbar vertebra transverse processsyndrome, based on clinical observation, change detection ofserum IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α content, explore the mechanism ofacupotomy manipulation in the treatment of the third lumbartransverse process syndrome, and to provide experimental basisfor the treatment of this diseas. Methods60patients were in2011April to2012October in Wuhan No.1Hospital Affiliated of Yi massage department and HubeiUniversity of traditional Chinese medicine hospital oroutpatient, conforms to the national administration oftraditional Chinese medicine in1994published "standards ofTCM syndrome diagnosis and treatment" of the third lumbarvertebra transverse process syndrome diagnostic criteria, select and randomly controlled trial method, divided intoobservation group and control group,30patients in each group. The observation group were treated with Acupotomy manipulation, most patients were cured at one time, if not in7days are secondtreatment, but most are not more than3times. The control grouptreated by massage, each time for30minutes, once every otherday, six times as a course of treatment, continuous treatmentfor1~3courses of treatment. The observation period was fiveweeks, the observed indexes were measured before treatment andfifth weeks, the two groups were observed after treatment ofclinical comprehensive therapeutic effects, main symptoms andsigns of improvement, the serum levels of IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α content changes, and comparResults1the observation group of30cases,26cases were cured, accounting for86.7%; effective in3cases, accounting for10%;1cases were ineffective, the total efficiency of96.7%,accounting for3.3%. A control group of30cases,11cases werecured, accounting for36.7%; effective in13cases, accountingfor43.3%;6cases were ineffective, the total efficiency of80%, accounting for20%. Comparing the two groups, statistically, there was significant difference (P <0.05). In the waist pain improved evaluation and lumbar activity levelmeasurement, comparison of the two groups before and aftertreatment group, statistically, the differences weresignificant (P<0.01). The observation group and the controlgroups, in the waist pain improved evaluation, throughstatistical treatment, with a significant difference (P<0.05);in the waist activity measurement, with significant difference(P<0.05). It shows that the treatment group clinicalcomprehensive therapeutic effect was significantly better thanthe control group.2Effect of the serum levels of IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α content:after treatment the serum IL-1two β, IL-6, TNF-α contentdecreased, the observation group decreased significantly, andclose to the normal level, compared with before treatment, thedifference was significant (P<0.01). Compared with the controlgroup, there was significant difference (P<0.05). Thatobservation group in the regulation of serum IL-1β, IL-6,TNF-was significantly better than the controlg.Conclusions1needle knife with the treatment of the third lumbar vertebratransverse process syndrome, can significantly improve thethird lumbar transverse process syndrome in patients withclinical symptoms and signs, curative effect is obviouslybetter than the control group.2needle knife with the treatment of the third lumbar transverseprocess syndrome and serum IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α content torestore balance, that down-regulation of inflammatorycytokines Acupotomy manipulation can make the disease inpatients with abnormal increased, thereby inhibiting inflammatory factors related to the inflammatory reaction, todispel the inflammation of the objectiv3clinical practice that has good curative effect, lowrecurrence rate advantages, low treatment cost, provides a newidea and method for the treatment of the third lumbar transverseprocess syndrome, improve the quality of life of patients.
