The Clinical Observation Of Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy Treated By The EA Combined With Cervical Vertebra Exercise

Objective: This thesis aims at discussing the effect on curingcervical spondylotic radiculopathy with acupuncture andneck exerciseResearch MethodologyThese subjects of the research are chosen from the patients inthe department of acupuncture and moxibustion of Wuhan No.1Hospital from Sep.2011and Mar.2012. According to the visiting sequence, these subjects are divided into group1and group2atrandom. Group1consists of subjects who do neck exercise withacupuncture, and group2is test group. There are60subjects,23of whom are female, and the rest of them are male. Their ages rangefrom18to65and the average age is45.6. The time of illness iswithin6months, and the average time is2months and4days. Thetherapy of group1: the subjects are treated with acupuncture; andthen they do neck exercise twice with the doctor’s instruction.Two weeks are a course of treatment and the treatment can stop fora day every six days. The acupoints of acupuncture: Dazhui, Tianzhu,Houxi, Cervical Jiaji. The instrument of acupuncture: Koreanelectric acupuncture apparatus. Parameter: frequency:100HZ,waveform: dilatational wave: strength:2mA. The neck exercise forcervical spondylotic radiculopathy made by Prof. Zhang Hongxing isadopted in this treatment. The subjects in test group are treatedwith acupuncture for30minutes every day. Two weeks are a courseof treatment and the treatment can stop for a day every six days. The acupoints of acupuncture: Dazhui, Tianzhu, Houxi, CervicalJiaji. The instrument of acupuncture: Korean electric acupunctureapparatus. Parameter: frequency:100HZ, waveform: dilatationalwave: strength:30minutes,2mA.After a course of treatment, the effects of the therapy areobserved. The widespread use of MPQ, substance P and interleukin-6are adopted in the observation.ResultThe Comparison between Plasma SP and IL-6: the diversity betweenthe two groups is not meaningful in statistics before treating（P>0.05）. After the subjects of two groups are treated within12days, the diversity within each group is meaningful in statistics（P<0.01）. The diversity between group1and group2is significant（P<0.05）.The comparison of MPQ: the diversity between the two groups isnot meaningful in statistics before treating（P>0.05）. After thesubjects of two groups are treated within12days, the diversity 6within each group is meaningful in statistics（P<0.01）. Thediversity between group1and group2is significant （P<0.05）.ConclusionThe acupuncture with the neck exercise cures cervicalspondylotic radiculopathy, whose effect is significant. Thistreatment can strikingly improve the patients’ symptoms and signs.What’s more, its convenience and curing effect is superior to thetreatment just with acupuncture.
