Background and ObjecktivesCondylomata acuminatum(CA), also known as genital warts, is a local benign proliferative disease that coused by human papillommavirus(HPV) infecting skin and mucous membrane such as the genitals, anus or perineum.CA is currently one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases(STD). The disease risk population are young and middle-aged population and the vast majority is the sexually active age group(20to39years old). In recent years, the National STD findings show that the incidence of CA in China stand first in all STD patients and the annual rate of increase was significantly higher than that of other STD. CA is easy misdiagnosed, missed diagnosed, and is a stubborn disease, and can easily relapse, and be cancerous. It seriously harm to human health. Due to the high incidence and is closely related with tumor, we paid more attention to the prevention and treatment of this disease. But at present the pathogenesis of CA specific pathological mechanism is not fully clear. This experiment through SP immunohistochemical method to detect CA tissues PERK and c fos protein expression and analysis of their correlation of the two kinds of protein expression. CA molecular pathological mechanism of the disease is discussed, and further provide reliable theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of the disease. Materials and MethodsExperiment elected patients with CA from the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University Dermatology outpatient, with typical skin lesions, and confirmed by histopathology, then choosed30cases CA and20cases of normal male forskins from Urology outpatient surgical resection. SP immunohistochemistry method was used to measure the expression of PERK and c-fos in tissue samples from30Cases of CA and20normal skin. SPSS17.0was used to analysis all the statistical data. Using two independent sample rank-sum test to examine two independent samples for the comparison of the different expression levels of PERK and c-fos protein. Using χ2test to compare the positive expression rate of PERK and c-fos protein in two groups.Using Spearman rank correlation analysis to analyze the correlation of two kinds of protein expression in the tissues of the CA. Inspection level a=0.05.Result1The expression of PERK in CA tissues and normal epithelial tissue. In the30cases of CA, PERK is positive expression in20cases and the positive expression rate is66.67%(20/30). The intensity of positive expression is++~+++. In20cases normal tissues, PERK is positive expression in1case and the positive expression rate is5%. The intensity of positive expression is-~++. There is a significant difference of positive expression rate between the two groups (χ2=18.733, P<0.001). There is a significant diference of positive expression intensity between two groups (H=16.757, P<0.001)2The expression of c-fos in CA tissues and normal epithelial tissue. In the30cases of CA,c-fos is positive expression in17cases and positive expression rate is56.67%(17/30). The intensity of positive expression is++~+++. In20cases normal tissues, c-fos is positive expression in2cases and positive expression rate is10%. There is a significant difference of positive expression rate between the two groups (χ2=11.092,P=0.001, P<0.001). There is a significant diference of positive expression intensity between two groups (H=11.416, P=0.001, P <0.05).3Correlation analysis of PERK and c-fos expression in the CA tissuesIn30cases of CA tissue, the posistive expression of PERK is20cases and negative is10cases; the posistive expression of c-fos is2cases. Pearson correlation analysis found that30cases of CA PERK and c-fos expression was positively correlated(r=0.54, P<0.001).Conclusions1. There are an increased expression level of PERK in CA tissue and the increased expression level may be associated with the over-proliferation of CA tissue.2. There are an increased expression level c-fos in CA tissue and that may be playing an important role in the occurrence and development of the CA.3. PERK and c-fos expression was positively correlated in the CA tissues, they may be promoting the occurrence and development of the CA.
