| Objective:Today peripheral facial paralysis is a common disease ofclinical with the manifestations as facial expression musclesflaccid paralysis．Though PFP not a very severe disease, it affectspeople’s outlook and keeps them in a state of chronic stress.Nowthere are different points and some questions to be done within thetraditional acupuncture of treating PFP. Because of thestrict-design and advanced-method research, it showed thefeasibility, non-toxic side effects, reliable and good ways of theneedling of opposite side for treating PFP.Making use of needlingof opposite side and routine acupuncture to treat PFP，for theclinical symptoms and signs before and after treatment were of greatdifference，to compare the effects of treatment between treatmentgroup and control group，evaluated the effect of needling of opposite side and provides a new idea and method for the treatmentand do good to patients of PFP．Methods:The eighty-four patients selected in acupuncture office of WuhanTCM Hospital, were randomly divided into treatment group (needlingof opposite side group) and control group (routine acupunctureone).One group had42cases and case of each met the diagnosticcriteria, inclusion and exclusion one.The treatment group making use of needling of opposite sidetook points of dicang,jiache， quanliao, xiaguan, yangbai，hegu.Use the needles to acupuncture in the skin quickly, after regularsterilized. Then retaining the needles for30minutes. After theacute stage this group made use of the treatment of G6805electricacupuncture apparatus to strengthen the acupuncture effect.The needling of opposite side group was treated everyday,whose treatment was given five times per week, lasting4coursesof treatments as each course was seven days and resting two days.The other group was treated with routine acupuncture only which wasthe same way to the treatment group.My research was based on “Clinical Diagnostic and TherapeuticStandard of Common Disease”published by Union Medical Universityof China and was done with SPSS. Results:1、There was of comparability between the needling of opposite sidegroup and routine acupuncture one by t-test. The treatment groupcure rate was76.19%, the total effective rate100%;the other onecure rate was57.14%, the total effective rate was95.24%.There werestatistically great differences between the needling of oppositeside group and routine acupuncture one (P<0.05).It made sense togo on the research and the results showed that the treatment ofneedling of opposite side was better than that with the routinetreatment.2、After four courses, the clinical symptoms and signs beforeand after treatment were different, and there was a very greatdifference between the needling of opposite side group and routineacupuncture one by the comparison with SPSS,P<0.05.Conclusion:The research showed that the treatment of PFP of needling ofopposite side was better than that with the routine acupuncture.The needling of opposite side can bring to a very good clinicaleffect and improve the cure rate. At the same time, it is safe,reliable, and good to the quality of life of patients, worthy tobe popularized.As the number of patients was not big enough. In the future we need to design more rigorous program, observe more cases，to carryout clinical trials of observation long enough，for TCM treatdisease based on medical theory，also do research of needling ofopposite side used in treating acute PFP further．... |
