OBJECT:Establish a "Talent is the first resource" concept for the construction of a high-quality acupuncture health technical personnel, to ensure that the cause of acupuncture in Australia, to carry forward the Chinese culture, expand overseas Chinese market, according to Australia’s social and economic anddemographic characteristics and the actual situation of acupuncture qualified personnel, the construction of the Australian Acupuncture personnel status quo, existing problems and development trends in systems analysis, and learn from the experience of other countries in the international development of Chinese medicine and path for the Chinese Medicine Association of Australiathe Australian Acupuncture development plans provide a scientific basis for decision making.METHOD:Literature, finishing the construction of the underlying theory of the medical and health personnel, by reviewing the history of the development of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture in Australia, combined with modern Australian Institute of Health Policy and front-line doctors medical technology and background questionnaires by descriptive statistical methodsanalysis of the status of the Australian Acupuncture talent the demonstration development strategy feasibility and operability.RESULT:Progress of qualified personnel of the Australian Acupuncture:Acupuncture total personnel continued growth the2012National Acupuncture total number of employees for3832,3544an increase of288people compared to the first quarter of2012, representing an increase of8.13%; the acupuncture practitioners structure has been improved,1640on the end of the fourth quarter of2012, doctors for over20years, accounting for42.45%,15-20years,508doctors and514people, accounting for 13.15%,10-15-year doctor, accounting for13.31947%5-10years doctors, accounting for24.51%. More than five years of clinical experience accounted for93.42%of body experienced medical team, a reasonable age structure. Problems and challenges faced by Australia Acupuncture talent development:the construction of high-level personnel foundation is weak, the end of2012, acupuncture and moxibustion professionals are still undergraduate education or self-education, master’s and doctoral degrees less. More loosely personnel management, team building and market demand, the academic development are incompatible. Australian Acupuncture personnel trends:social, economic, demographic developments and changes in professionals of Chinese medicine, especially acupuncture demand for talent will be further enhanced; health awareness and promotion of the awareness of the natural remedies, acupuncture and moxibustion professionals skill level and the theoretical level a higher demand, the focus of the work of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine will be converted to the introduction of talent, local culture, strengthen exchanges and theoretical innovation.CONCLUSION:1. strengthen sector management, to proceed from the government level and guilds level, the introduction of information technology means to achieve win-win doctors and patients to achieve strategic objectives to promote the long-term development of the pharmaceutical industry in Australia;2. Promote occupational social re-education resource development, joint research, universities, hospitals, and other social resources to enhance the depth and breadth of vocational re-education and social mainstream sectors of the output of Chinese culture;3. Innovation of Chinese equipment, the marketing tool of the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine and treatment programs, provide short-term clinic income, medium-term for the Chinese medicine industry expanding impact of long-term cornerstone of Chinese culture.
