ObjectiveTo investigate the personality of Students in Nursing Training college; to probe intothe personality of nursing students with better academic achievements or more compatibleto study to nursing,then to help nursing students know herself,and adopt to studyingmethods of suitable for themselves. They could lay a solid foundation to become a goodnurse in the future.The study can help nursing educators understand the personality ofdifferent education background,with teaching students according their aptitude andmulit-level teaching and train high-quality and excellent nurse. People can find theprofitable teaching countermeasure according to the personality of Students in NursingTraining college.MethodsQuestionaire survey was used in the research to choose272nursing students fromTechnical Secondary Nursing, Five Year Consistent System Nursing and Junior CollegeNursing. Cattell’s16PF Questionnaire and cluster sampling was used in the study.Theacademic performance of parts of the specialized courses of tested students were selected.All data was analyzed by spss11.5variance analysis. The personality of nursing studentswas analyzed in variance, and the relationship between the academic performance and thepersonality was analyzed by multiple stepwise regression.Results1. There was evident difference between technical Secondary Nursing and Five YearConsistent System Nursing about6primary personality including Boldness, Vigilance,Intelligence, Stability, Self-Reliance and Independence and2secondary personality factorsincluding Timid, decisive and Creativity; There was evident difference between Five YearConsistent System Nursing and Junior College Nursing about4primary personality including Boldness, Abstractedness,Intelligence, Self-Reliance, and2secondarypersonality factors including Timid,decisive and Creativity; There was evident differencebetween Junior College Nursing and Technical Secondary Nursing about6primarypersonality factors including Intelligence, Stability, Self-Reliance, Boldness,Abstractedness and Vigilance.2. The personality factors influencing good academic achievements about TechnicalSecondary Nursing and Five Year Consistent System Nursing was no difference, there wasWarmth, Rule-consciousness, Dominance, and Self-Reliance; The personality factorsinfluencing good academic achievements about Junior College Nursing was Warmth,Intelligence, Rule-consciousness, Boldness, and Apprehension.Conclusions1. The personality of Technical Secondary Nursing students is tendency of highVigilance,high Boldness,low Stability,low lntelligence,low Self-Reliance,low Indepen-dence, timid and low Creativity. The personality of Five Year Consistent System Nursingstudents is tendency of high Boldness, high Abstractedness, low Self-Reliance,lowIntelligence, timid and low Creativity. Junior College Nursing students shows thetendency of high Intelligence, high Stability, high Self-Reliance, low Boldness, lowAbstractedness and low Vigilance.2. Some personality fectors influencing good academic achievements about TechnicalSecondary Nursing and Five Year Consistent System Nursing was no difference, there washigh Warmth, high Rule-consciousness, low Dominance, and high Self-Reliance. Thepersonality factors influencing good academic achievements about Junior College Nursingwas high Warmth, high Intelligence, high Rule-consciousness, high Boldness, and lowApprehension.3. The teachers in nursing Training college should respect all students’ persona-lity,mulit-level teaching and managing,think highly of students’ mainstay instudying,improve professional skill and reinforce education of humanities and vocationalmorality so that the quality of students can be improved.
