Because of the disadvantages of traditional teeth restoration methods in esthetics and function, more and more people prefer to choose implanting restoration as their prime way to restore their teeth. Implanting restoration needs a surgery to place the implants which have good biocompatibility into the jaw bone. Before placing implant into the jaw bone, it is necessary to prepare a hole which is corresponding with its implant type. The process of preparing holes in jaw bone is a process of cutting bone. In this process, it is inevitable to produce a lot of heat, if the temperature exceeds a critical threshold over a corresponding time period, it will cause bone thermal necrosis. The temperature fields around the implant sites have a great effect on the biological property of the surrounding bone tissue. If the bone tissue is over heated, it will cause a bad effect on cytoactive or even influence Osseo-integration and decrease the success rate of implanting restoration.Although many researches have been done about temperature fields of bone cutting, only few of them are related with dental implant surgery, especially in template guided implant surgery. So it is necessary to perform a profound study on relevant theories and experiments to develop effective irritations and control temperature fields during bone cutting. This paper uses theoretical arithmetic, finite element method (FEM) and experiments to study the heat produced and transmitting during bone cutting around implant sites in jaw bone. To compare the effects of different irrigation methods, three different irrigation methods (internal irrigated system, external irrigated system, irrigation nozzle) are adopted to irrigate the bone and compare the influence of these3different irritation methods on bone temperature.The experiments show that different irrigation methods have different effects on bone temperature field, and the internal irrigated system can control the bone temperature field effectively. On the other hand, decreasing the continuous drilling time can also slow the temperature rising.
