The Clinical Study On Effect And Mechanism Of Qingfei Huatan Granule Treated Phlegm-heat Cough

Objective:The aim was to study the efficacy, safety and mechanism in treating phlegm-heat cough with QingFei Huatan Granule.Methods:1. Animal experiment:(1)Acute toxicity testing:during14days,mice was given QingFei Huatan Granule0.73g/ml,40ml/kg,bid.(2) The experiment of main pharmacophoric effect:Concentrated ammonia solution spray method and Cough induced by citric acid spray were used respectively to measure cough-relieving effect on mice and Guinea-pigs treated with QingFei Huatan Granule. A method of histamine phosphate spray leading to asthmatic attack was used to measure its effects of relieving asthma. Trachea phenol red method was used to measure its effects of resolving phlegm.2.Clinical Observation:A randomized,positive-controlled, parallel group trial was adopted.The total of72cases were enrolled in this study.and all patients were randomly divided into two groups.Treatment group took orally "QingFei Huatan Granule,10g/time.tid.Control group was given QingFei Huatan decoction(Homemade prescription).150ml/time,tid.Before and after treatment,we summarized and observed integral of syndrome of Traditional Chinese Medicine and laboratory indexes.Results:1. Animal experiment:(1)Acute toxicity testing:the general behavior of the micesuch as drinking, eating were normal In24hours,and they were not died during14days, after the experiment.killed all the mice and observed their Organs.there were not significantly differences.(2)The experiment of Main Pharmacophoric Effect:QingFei Huatan Granule has obviously curative effect in treating guinea pigs’ cough led to concentrated ammonia spray and citric acid(P<0.05or P<0.01); it has Obviouslycurative effect in treating guinea pigs’asthma led to histamine phosphate spray (P<0.05);It may increase windpipe’ phenol red’excretion (P<0.05or P<0.01).2.Clinical Observation:(1)Compared with pre-post treatment, integral of syndrome of TCM in the two groups descented obviously(P<0.01).After treatment,the comparison of syndrome of TCM in the two groups has no significant differe(P>0.05).The results showed that both drugs showed similar efficacy in the treatment of phlegm-heat cough. (2)Therapeutic efficacy:after14days treatment,the total effectual rate and effective rate was42.4%and90.9%respectively in the treatment group,and50.0%and94.1%in the control group.so therapeutic efficacy of treatment group was similer with control group curative effect(P>0.05).(3) Compared Integral of syndrome of TCM in cough, sputum volume, sputum character,the two groups were found significantly statistical different before and after treatment(P<0.01);After treatment.the comparison of Integral of syndrome of TCM in cough, sputum volume, sputum character in the two groups has no significant differences(P>0.05).(4)Compared the curative effect in treating cough,the effectual rate in treatment group and control group was66.7%and61.8%;the effective rate in the two groups was87.9%and94.1%;the result has not Statistical difference(P>0.05). The kinds of drugs for cough both have good effects.(5)Compared with pre-post treatment,blood routine, urine routine,liver function and kidney function in the two groups were not different significantly(P>0.05).During treatment,all patients in the two groups had not severe adverse reaction.Conclution:1. Animal experiment:(1) Acute toxicity testing:QingFei Huatan Granule is relatively safe in Short-term.(2) The experiment of main pharmacophoric effect:QingFei Huatan Granule has certain antitussive, antiasthmatic and expectorant effects.2.Clinical Observation:QingFei Huatan Granule has good curative effect for phlegm-heat cough.and it is safety in Short-term.
