The Study And Satisfaction Analysis Of In-service Hearing Disabled People With Hearing Aids In Shenyang

There are totally27.8millions hearing disability people in China, the ratio was1.52%.The most difficulty problem of them in daily life is the communication, and hearing disablealso become the most important influence factors when they try to find a new job. Hearingaids matching is the most effective and common method to solve hearing impairment inclinical. The life of hearing disability people can be affected directly by using the hearing aids,especially when they participate in social life equally. Therefore, it has important theoreticalvalue to study and analysis the situation of hearing disabled people with hearing aids.Objective: Choose the people who wear hearing aids as the object, through theapplication of "IOI-HA " and homemade hearing aid satisfaction questionnaire, survey thesituation of using the hearing aids, analysis the satisfaction of the people who are wearing thehearing aids, better to know about the situation of using the hearing aids and find outinfluence factors, provide guidance advice how to use it. It provided a theoretical basis to helphearing disabled people to improve the quality of life and enhance them to participate insocial activities. It’s more scientific and more professional.Method: Used the stratified sampling method and choose600on-the-job hearingdisabled people who were collected through the community, welfare enterprises and the deafassociation. According to the age, it is divided into four groups,<30,31-40,41-50,>50yearsold. The application of "IOI-HA” and homemade hearing aids satisfaction questionnaire wereprovided, review and descript the results, then use SPSS18.0statistical software, the T test,variance to analysis the data. P <0.05is significance statistical.Results: The600people hearing disability in survey were wearing the hearing aids morethan6weeks. Through the analysis of the "IOI-HA" and homemade hearing aids satisfactionquestionnaire, we can see that most the people were satisfied with using hearing aids.In investigated the hearing disabled people, the hearing loss degree priority is level3(accounts for41%) and level2hearing disability (accounts for46%), For the education level,junior college degree is in the largest number of46.5%, undergraduate in25.5%, technicalsecondary school in28.0%. The number of occupation in the distribution is worker in39.0%,and the free employment, professional and community workers accounted for27.5%,24.2%and9.3%. The people who wear hearing aids more than eight hours each day and6monthstotally got the higher ratio, it’s66.83%and64.50%respectively, and they considered thatwearing hearing aids make their life convenience with high satisfaction. In the lifeimprovement, the men are more satisfied than women. For the age factor, the people over fifty years old who wear hearing aids feel poor satisfaction in cost and convenient. For theeducation level, the person above bachelor degree has higher satisfaction than others. For theoccupation, professional employee has low satisfaction compared with others. Wearinghearing aids easily is the highest satisfaction for the hearing disability people, the lower costsof the hearing aids battery is second. They dissatisfied with hearing aids in noisy environment,maintenance service and the knowledge of sales staff or hearing teacher. The most dissatisfiedthing is the costs of hearing aids maintenance.Conclusion: It is satisfactory to use hearing aids in most hearing disabled people inShenyang. The impacts of factors including gender, age, wearing time, educational level andoccupation. The men are more satisfied than women with using hearing aids. The people whowear hearing aids more than eight hours each day and6months totally considered that usinghearing aids make their life convenience and have the high satisfaction; Over50year’s oldgroup, they dissatisfied with hearing aids because of the noisy environment, costs andconvenient. Meanwhile, the people with higher education such as university stuff orprofessional and technical worker are satisfied with all kinds of environment, costs andconvenient. Wearing hearing aids easily is the highest satisfaction for the hearing disabilitypeople, the lower costs of the hearing aids battery is second. They dissatisfied with hearingaids in noisy environment, maintenance service and the knowledge of sales staff or hearingteacher. The most dissatisfied thing is the costs of hearing aids maintenance.Suggestion: We can let the older person’s family member give him appropriate remind toimprove the satisfaction of using hearing aids and try to improve the level of knowledge andtechnology of the hearing aids sales staff or hearing teacher. We also can carry out our ownhearing aids so to reduce the cost of the production and test. Better and more hearing aidsrelated knowledge are popularizing to the user.
