Objective:It was to explore the effect of treating subclinical state of depression with biofeedback treatment and find a method that could affect turnover from subclinical state of depression to depression and was simple, effective, safe and little side effect by observing systematically patients’turnover with subclinical state of depression who were assigned to treating group of biofeedback and controlling group without treatment after3weeks, with random, single and blind therapy,Methods:Patients fitting internalizing standards of subclinical state of depression were assigned to treating group of biofeedback and controlling group without treatment randomly, and patients of treating group were treated2times per week by a device of electrical encephalon biofeedback and evaluated one time per week, and patients of controlling group weren’t treated and evaluated one time per week. After3weeks. we analyzed the scores of Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD), Self-rating depression scale (SDS), Center for E pidemiological Survey (CES-D) and degree of living satisfaction, and regarded the rate of reducing scores of HAMD as the whole effective standard to evaluate biofeedback treatment. Results:The treating effect of treating group and controlling group was different apparently. The treating effect of treating group was better than that of controlling group (P<0.0001) because the rate of reducing scores of HAMD was regarded as the whole effective standard. The treating effect of treating group was good to people who had mild and middle syndrome, and the difference of treating effect of these people wasn’t apparent. The scores of SDS and CES-D also decreased, but the scores of degree of living satisfaction increased, and difference of the two groups was apparent (P<0.0001) Conclusion:Biofeedback therapy could reduce patients’scores of SDS. HAMD and CES-D, and enhance degree of living satisfaction. It could promote effectively subclinical state of depression and reduce the turnover from subclinical state of depression to depression. Subclinical state of depression could be controlled or stopped, so we should pay attention to it. It is effective to use biofeedback therapy to treat subclinical state of depression in clinic and we should research biofeedback therapy deeply.
