| Objective:To find out status of health education demanding of rural diabetic illiteracy and their understanding level on diabetic knowledge in Xindu area, Chengdu. And establishing scientific and effective means of healthy education for our diabetic illiteracy living in rural area.Method:Select3Community Service Centers in Xindu area, Chengdu, and240rural diabetic illiteracy treated there from2011,6to2011,12. Then separate them into two groups:group one without education on diabetic knowledge (120persons) and group two with education on diabetic knowledge (120persons). By way of follow-up call or direct investigation, we make questionnaire of status of health education demanding of the Diabetes.Result:1. In our study, it shows that the group with education understand much more than the group without education on basic Diabetes, treatment of Diabetes, and diabetic self-protection.(P<0.01);2. It also shows that different patients show different interest on different ways of education. Among the group, the rate of male and female who are interested in watching diabetic educational television is71.4%and70.3%; the rate of male and female who are interested in lectures of basic diabetic knowledge is53.6%and60.9%;the rate of male and female who are interested in taking part in Diabetics Organization is44.6%and46.9%;the rate of male and female who are interested in consulting a professional doctor is35.7%and39.1%;the rate of male and female who are interested in TV and radio advertising is26.8%and23.4%; among all above, the rate of male and female who are interested in consulting a professional doctor has significant difference.(P<0.05) Conclusion:1.Compared with the ones without education on diabetic knowledge, the ones with it have instinct advantages on understanding of diabetes.2. We should use a comprehensive utilization of all kinds of methods, mainly to TV video, lectures, and free communication between Diabetics, to the rural diabetic illiteracy. |
