The Clinical Research Of Dantong Tincture External Use In The Treatment Of Diabetic Peripheral Sensory Neuropathy

Objectives:To investigate the clinical efficacy by the external use "Dantong"tincture for diabetic peripheral sensory neuropathy. Preliminary evaluate the treatment efficacy of diabetic peripheral sensory neuropathy. Intend to proposed an effective treatment method and route of administration in the chinese traditional medicine for diabetic peripheral sensory neuropathy.Methods:From March2011to February2012. in the endocrine department of Yunnan province traditional Chinese medicine hospital,we selected60cases according to the standard choice in hospitalized patients with diabetic peripheral sensory neuropathy.The patients were random divided into the Dantong tincture treatment group and the capsaicin ointment control group, and the patients were divided into two groups equally.Both groups were treated with control blood sugar, improve circulation and nutrient neural treatment. The control group choose western medicine capsaicin ointment wipe, the treatment group choose hospital preparations "Dantong tincture " wipe out. For all the diabetic peripheral neuropathy patients feel the lesion site.2times/day,20days for a course,one course of treatment. Observed two groups of patients before and after treatment, clinical symptoms, signs, and to score patients from clinical symptoms, reflection and feel rating three aspects by the clinical scoring system in Toronto (TCSS),and related data were statistically analyzed.Results: 1.The total clinical effective rate:both of Dantong tincture treatment group and the capsaicin ointment control group is93%, there was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). the clinical effect of treatment group was similar with the control group.2. The two groups before and after treatment clinical scoring system in Toronto project (TCSS) integral contrast there was a significant difference (p<0.05), between groups compared were no significant difference (p>0.05). Both groups can improve signs and symptoms of diabetic peripheral sensory neuropathy,the treatment effect were similar.3.The two groups can ameliorate the lower extremities pain, pain sensation.(p<0.05). but there is no significant difference between two groups(p>0.0.5).4. Both groups can ameliorate the lower extremities numbness, lower extremities tingling, temperature sensation, touch-pressure sensation.(p<0.05).Symptoms score between the two groups are significantly different between the contrast (p<0.05). Dantong tincture treatment group in the ameliorate diabetic peripheral neuropathy superficial sensation superior to capsaicin ointment control group5. Two groups in the deep sensation (topesthesia) and deep reflection (both left and right knee reflex and ankle-reflex), scores were no significant difference compared(p>0.05). Contrast there was no significant difference by group and between groups(p>0.05). indicate both groups observe the target of this test, no significant improvement6. The blood routine、the urine routine、the motion routine、ECG、 FPG,2hPG,GSP、and the function of the Lliver and the Kidney,were not altering during the treatment in the both group.(P>0.05)Conclusion:Dantong tincture have a good curative effect in the treatment of diabetes peripheral sensory neuropathy, especially for the lower extremities pain、 lower extremities numbness、lower extremities acmesthesia and pain sensation、 temperature sensation、touch-pressure sensation,it is a cheap and safe treatment method.
