ObjectiveExplore the relationship between sleep related factor, such as sleep quality, sleep duration of night, nap time, etc and Type2Diabetes Mellitus(T2DM)incidence. Furthermore, produce the nursing measure and reduce the risk ofT2DM.MethodScientific research method was case-control study. The way of informationcollected was questionnaire investigation. The tool consists of retrospectivequestionaire of sleep related factor and the international common usedPittsburgh Sleep Quality Index----PSQI. Statistics analysis using SPSS13.0,The measure data used t-test, Count data used X2test. To explore the sleeprelated factor and risk of T2DN, the odds ratios (OR) and95%CI were estimatedwith logistic regression models.Results1. Demographic characteristics such as age, national, residence, Culturaldegree, profession of case and control, they were through balance test, thedifference was no statistically significant (p>0.05).2. Result of t-test between two group sleep quality: compared betweencase and control; male case and male control; female case and female control, the difference exist statistically significant (p=0.000)3. Result of Single factor analysis: Poor sleep quality; not nap;sleep late;snoring;difficulty sleeping;sleep insufficiently at night were associated with anincreased risk for T2DM. Get up early;apnea were no associated with T2DM.4.The multivariable conditional logistic regression analysis showed that intotal samples and male samples, poor sleep quality, sleep late, snore, difficultysleeping, sleep insufficiently at night and nap were all go to the model, Regression coefficient of poor sleep quality, sleep late, snore, difficulty sleeping, sleep insufficiently at night were positive number, P<0.05, regressioncoefficient of nap was negative number, P<0.05. But in the female samples, poor sleep quality, snore, sleep insufficiently at night and nap at last go to themodel P<0.05. Regression coefficient of poor sleep quality, snore, sleepinsufficiently at night were positive number, and the nap negative number.5. Hierarchical analysis of sleep duration of night between case and control,Compared with sleep7h~/night, sleep<5h/night;5h~/night;6~h/night;≥8h/nightall can increase the risk of T2DM。6. Hierarchical analysis of sleep duration of nap between case and control,Compared with no nap, the protection of nap<0.5h/day;0.5h~/day;1h~/day;1.5h~/day;≥2h/day were gradually inhance, but the tend was not significant。Conclusion1. Poor sleep quality, sleep late, snore, difficulty sleeping, sleepinsufficiently at night can increase the risk of male T2DM. Poor sleep quality, snore, sleep insufficiently at night can increase the risk of female T2DM.2. Nap sleep was the protective factors for T2DM. With the extension of naptime the protection to T2DM is in the enhancement, but the advantage is notparticularly evident. Proper nap sleep can reduce the risk of T2DM.3.Sleep duration of night too short (<5h) or too long (≥8h)both canincrease the risk of T2DM, the former was more harmful than the later.4. This study no found the association between get up early, Sleep apneaand T2DM.
