Objective:The study is discussed that the acupuncture treated status and effect assessment of diabetic gastroparesis from literature and clinical test evaluation evaluation. The literature research of trial is aimed to evaluate the quality of randomized controlled trials of acupuncture in treating diabetic gastroparesis with the CONSORT statement and STRICTA standards. The clinical research of trial is aimed to evaluate the efficacy of acupuncture and shame acupuncture in treating diabetic gastroparesis. Methods:The method of Literature evaluation was the CONSORT statement and STRICTA standard. The retrieval was used to computer and manual. The language was restricted in both Chinese and English. The trial was limited in human clinical trials. The time of literature about acupuncture in treating DGP was from January1980to July2011.To design randomized controlled trial to evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture in treating diabetic gastroparesis. There were60patients involved in this trial.9patients were missing. All patients were randomly divided into the acupuneture groups (A group), non-acupoint group (B group). The treatment was consistead a period of10days. The assessment would be made at baseline2weeks after treatment,3months after treatment. The outcomes were gastric emptying time、 diabetic gastroparesis clinical symptoms score index、MOT and GAS.Results:There were173documents about acupuncture in treating diabetic gastroparesis. Eventually there were28articles by reading the title、abstract and combining screening. The problem was the defect of experimental design, such as correctly using random method、detailing random method、applicating blinded、the hide of randomly assigning、 sizing sample、the rationality of acupuncture explain、the qualified of therapists.①The characteristics of two groups were comparable in baseline (P>0.05).②The two groups after treating were comparable in gastric emptying time (P<0.05).There were significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05).③The two groups after treating were comparable in Gastroparesis Symptoms Rating Scale (P<0.05).There were significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05),such as in vomiting, stomach fullness, not able to finish a normal-sized meal, feeling excessively full aftermeals, loss of appetite, bloating. There were no difference between the two groups (P>0.05),such as in nausea, retching, stomach or belly visibly larger.④here were significant difference in the overall effect by Ridit analysis between the two groups (P<0.05).⑤The two groups after treating were comparable in MOT and GAS (P<0.05). There was no difference in MOT and GAS between the two groups (P>0.05)Conelusion:The problems of documents about acupuncture in treating diabetic gastroparesis were small number low quality and the implementation of the methods.①Acupuncture group was superior to that of non-acupoint group in improving gastric emptying time.②Acupuncture group was superior to that of non-acupoint group in vomiting, stomach fullness, not able to finish a normal-sized meal, feeling excessively full aftermeals, loss of appetite, bloating. There was no difference in improving nausea, retching, stomach abdomen between two groups.③Acupuncture group was superior to that of non-acupoint group in improving the overall effect.④There was no difference in changing MOT and GAS between two groups. The result showed that acupuncture in treating diabetic gastroparesis had certain advantages that of non-acupuncture. |
