The Meaning Of ¹³C Breath Test For The Diagnosis Of Diabetic Gastroparesis And The Clinical Research Of Acupuncture In The Treatment Of Diabetic Gastroparesis

Purpose:Taking the radionuclide as criteria to study the reliability of the method assessing Diabetic Gastroparesis by ¹³C breath test,diagnostic Diabetic Gastroparesis and acupuncture combined with medicines in treatment of DGP.Method:The gastic emptying time was metured by radionuclide and ¹³C breath test in two days in 5 healthy volunteers and 17 diabetic patients.The Diabetes mellitus group were given acupuncture of the spleen and stomach syndrome,which was set for 4 weeks as a course of treatment.Result: After 4 weeks of clinical observation,the t1/2 of the two groups measured by the two techniques were very close（P ﹥ 0.05）,there were significant correlation between them（r=0.707,0.570）;Meanwhile,The treatment group was significantly（P﹤0.05）in the gastric emptying test and the improvement of TCM symptoms,the adverse events occurred in the two groups.The clinical total effective rate was 84.6%,and the combination of acupuncture and the astic emptying time was also determined.Conclusion: The method of ¹³C breath test is reliable,and it indicates the affirmative curative effects in the treatment of DGP and is worth a clinical promotion and further research.Meanwhile,Acupuncture combines with traditional Chinese medicine therapy in the treatment of diabetic gastro paresis clinical curative effect,can significantly shorten the gastric emptying time and improve clinical symptoms and enhance the gastric motility in diabetic gastro paresis.
