Objective:To observe the clinical curative effects of treating deficiency of liver yin and hyperactivity of liver yang of primary hypertension by Zi-Shui-Ping-Gang Decoction.Methods:60cases with deficiency of liver yin and hyperactivity of liver yang of primary hypertension either of whom were outpatients or inpatients in department of cardiology of the second hospital of Fuzhou City from January,2011to Januaryr,2012,were selected to this study.They were divided into the Zi-Shui-Ping-Gan Decoction therapy group(The treatment group)and the regular western therapy group (the control group) by a random,controlled and single blind method, both groups were in the low-fat low-salt diet, and the same time were treated by the regular western medicines named Amlodipine besylateTablets,Aspirin and Simvastatin Dispersible Tablets,and the treatment group added to the Zi-Shui-Ping-GanDecoction composed of prepared rehmannia root, Medical Dogwood, nagaimo, Oriental Waterplantain Rhizome, Indian buead, etc.The therapeutic period of the treatment was four weeks. During the treatment period the else Antihypertensive Drugs were prohibited. At the same time,we should observe the changes of symptoms and physical signs,degree of dizziness, the blood-lipid levels and testosterone and estradiol levels before treatment and after treatment.The therapeutic effects were going to be evaluated after the therapeutic period of the treatment was over.Results:1.The total curative effect comparison between two groups:For the treatment group, the total effective rate was90%. For the control group, the total effective rate was66.70%.The treatment group was superoir to the control group(P<0.05).2. Hypotensive total efficiency comparison:For the treatment group, the total effective rate was93.33%. For the control group, the total effective rate was73.30%.The treatment group was superoir to the control group(P<0.05).3. Syndrome integral of traditional Chinese Medicine comparison between two groups:the treatment group and the control group before treatment integral comparison showed no significant difference (P>0.05); the treatment group before treatment the integral (22.07±5.87), after treatment of the integral (7.03±4.31), before and after the treatment group compared with the very significant difference (P<0.01); the control group before treatment the integral (21.77±5.66), after treatment of the integral (10.70±5.96), before and after the treatment group compared with a very significant difference (P<0.01); The symptom scores of the treatment group and the control group after treatment had significant difference (P<0.05);4. Among the two groups of systolic and diastolic blood pressure efficacy comparison:The treatment group and the control group before treatment of systolic pressure and diastolic blood pressure between the groups there were no significant differences (P>0.05); The treatment group systolic pressure:before the treatment of systolic blood pressure (160.50±10.35mmhg), after treatment of systolic blood pressure (133.67±4.72mmhg), before and after the treatment group compared with a very significant difference (P<0.01); the control group systolic pressure:before the treatment of systolic blood pressure (158±10.29mmhg), after treatment of systolic blood pressure (137.33±6.48mmHg), before and after the treatment group compared with a very significant difference (P<0.01);The treatment group and the control group of systolic blood pressure after the treatment between two groups had significant difference (P<0.05); the treatment group in the diastolic pressure:before the treatment of diastolic blood pressure (99.60±5.11mmhg), after treatment of diastolic blood pressure (84.53±6.10mmhg), before and after the treatment group compared with a very significant difference (P<0.01); the control group in diastolic pressure:before the treatment of diastolic blood pressure (98±5.76mmhg), after the treatment of diastolic blood pressure (88.43±4.80mmhg), before and after the treatment group compared with a very significant difference (P<0.01); the treatment group and the control group of diastolic blood pressure after treatment between two groups had significant difference (P<0.05).5. Among the two groups in the changes of blood lipid level in comparison:The changes of blood lipid level in comparison:the treatment group and the control group before treatment in cholesterol, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein, high density lipoprotein comparison showed no significant difference (P>0.05); the treatment group cholesterol, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein, high density lipoprotein before treatment are (5.55±0.96mmol/L), (1.95±0.52mmol/L),(3.29±0.56mmol/L),(1.37±0.34mmol/L), after treatment are (3.94±0.65mmol/L),(1.21±0.38mmol/L),(2.26±0.58mmol/L),(1.87±0.47mmol/L), before and after the treatment group showed significant differences in lipid respectively (P<0.05); the control group of cholesterol, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein, high density lipoprotein before treatment are (5.30±1.00mmol/L),(1.95±0.54mmol/L),(3.12±0.69mmol/L),(1.40±0.36mmol/L), after treatment are (4.39±0.83mmol/L),(1.50±0.54mmol/L),(2.62±0.54mmol/L),(1.57±0.29mmol/L), before and after the treatment in the respective group of lipids there were significant differences (P<0.05); The treatment group and the control group of cholesterol, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein, high density lipoprotein after treatment had a significant difference compared to respective (P<0.05).6. Among the two groups of testosterone and estradiol level comparison:The treatment group and the control group before treatment of testosterone and estradiol were no significant differences between the respective comparison (P>0.05); the treatment group:Before the treatment of testosterone (3.72±1.15ng/ml), after the treatment of testosterone (5.57±1.30ng/ml), before treatment and after treatment the testosterone had significant difference (P<0.05); the control group:Before the treatment of testosterone (3.81±1.68ng/ml), after the treatment of testosterone (3.76±1.58ng/ml), before treatment and after treatment the testosterone showed no significant difference (P>0.05); the treatment group estradiol:Before the treatment of estradiol (32.83±6.97pg/ml), after the treatment of estradiol (41.70±8.08pg/ml), before treatment and after treatment the estradiol had significant differences (P<0.05); the control group estradiol:Before the treatment of estradiol (31.97±6.26pg/ml), after the treatment of estradiol (32.29±5.62pg/ml), before treatment and after treatment the estradiol showed no significant difference (P>0.05); The treatment group and the control group of testosterone and estradiol after treatment had a significant difference compared to respective (P<0.05).Conclusions:Combination of Zi-Shui-Ping-Gan Decoction and regular western medicines therapy made a better effect on treating deficiency of liver yin and hyperactivity of liver yang of primary hypertension than that of routinely treatment of western medicine alone; For its great effects on relieving symptoms and physical signs, its function to Lower blood pressure, regulate blood lipid, improve testosterone and estradiol levels,as well.Moreover,it can be safely taken at low cost without any side-effects,thus it is well worth to clinical studying further.
