[Object] To explore the effect of diseased-lung reexpansion in secondary pneumothorax patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.[Methods] We observe four factors:the type of pneumothorax.the pneumothorax size.the hours from the onset of symptoms to undergo air drainages.and the CAT scores. Forethmore.we evaluated the correlation between those four factors and the diseased-lung reexpansion time.[Results]1、 In totle of94patients completed the study end point. There were47patients in tension pneumothorax group.27patients in closed pneumothorax group. and20patients in traffic pneumothorax group, the reexpansion time was91.91±45.68h,56.89±27.56h and120.00±46.07h.There were significant differences among these three groups (F=13.800, P<0.01)2、In tension pneumothorax group.there were2patients(4.26%) have reexpanded completely in24hours after air drainage.21patitents(44.68%) have reexpanded completely in72hours.22patitents(46.81%) have reexpanded completely in7days.at last.2patients(4.26%) have reexpanded completely in10days after air drainage.While.in closed pneumothorax group, there are7patients(25.93%) have reexpanded completely in24hours after air drainage,17patitents(62.96%) have reexpanded completely in72hours,3patitents(11.11%) have reexpanded completely in7days after air drainage. At last, in traffic pneumothorax group, there no patients have reexpanded completely in24hours after air drainage,5patitents(25.00%) have reexpanded completely in72hours,13patitents(65.00%) have reexpanded completely in7days.2patients(10%) have reexpanded completely in10days after air drainage.3、In accordance with pneumothorax size, the reexpansion time in two subgroups were84.80±54.16h and98.52±41.08h(t=-0.988, P>0.05.tension pneumothorax group).64.00±27.71h and51.43±28.02h(t=1.146, P>0.05.closed pneumothorax group),111.00±36.14h and126.00±52.31h(t=-0.704, P>0.05.traffic pneumothorax group).4、Accoding to the hours from the onset of symptoms to undergo air drainages the reexpansion time in two subgroups were102.18±50.27h and70.29±28.96h (t=2.214.P<0.05.tension pneumothorax group).72.00±28.95h and44.80±20.Olh (t=2.884,P<0.05,closed pneumothorax group),135.43±46.70and84.00±13.15h (t=2.616.P<0.05,traffic pneumothorax group).5、Under the CAT scores, the reexpansion time in two subgroups were73.09±33.52h and109.92±50.95h (t=-2.884,P<0.05,tension pneumothorax group),46.50±23.95h and72.00±26.29h (t=-2.613.P<0.05.closed pneumothorax group),85.33±27.13h and148.36±38.43h (t=-4.140, P<0.05.traffic pneumothorax group).[Conclusion] In secondary pneumothorax patients with COPD,the diseased-lung reexpansion time have association with the type of pneumothorax, the hours from the onset of symptoms to undergo air draiages.and the CAT scores,;however, there is no relationship with the pneumothorax size.
