| Objective:To investigate the clinical result of the treatment (PKP with taking orally Bushenzhuanggu decoction postoperative) for the Osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures.Methods:A retrospective study is conducted to analysis the patients with Osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures, in the orthopaedic department of the first hospital of WuHan fromJune2010to June2011. According to the different methods of treatment,the patients were divided into two group A and group B. two groups of patients were treated by the treatment of PKP,observed for six months after operation. Meanwhile, the patients of group B taken orally Bushenzhuanggu decoction regularly and quantitatively.we compared the clinical result of the two groups, including visual simulation pain score (VAS), Oswestry-function index, bone cement push note dose and bone cement filling rate.Results:We compared the VAS score and the remission rate oftwo groups at first month and third month after operation, there was no significant difference; at the sixth month after operation, the VAS score and the remission rate oftwo groups had significant difference. We compared the Oswestry-function index of two groups between before and after operation, there was significant difference, at different time points after operation in each group,the the Oswestry-function index had no significant difference. At six month after operation, the Oswestry-function indexe between groupA and group B was statistically significant different. At other time point after operation,the Oswestry-function indexe between the two groups was no statistically significant differernt.The bone cement push note dose and the filling rate between twp groups had no significant difference.Conclusion:PKP surgery can significantly ease patients postoperative pain, restore disease vertebral function, but the treatment of PKP with taking orally Bushenzhuanggu decoction postoperative has more outstanding clinical effect. |
