Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of treating osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures percutaneous kyphoplasty postoperative with the Bugu decoction.Materials and methods:According to the diagnostic criteria of the osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures, selecting 60 patients from the Orthopedics in People’s Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of traditional Chinese medicine whom be given the percutaneous kyphoplasty operative treatment from September 2014 to June 2015,the patients who aged from 55-87 years old(average ages in 68.05±8.23 years old),including 14 males and 46 females. There are 82 involved vertebral bodies, commonly seen in T11,T12,L1,L3.Adopting randomly divided into experimental group and control group,30 patients in each. The experimental group was given Bugu decoction and conventional anti-osteoporosis treatment, the control group was only given the conventional anti-osteoporosis treatmentThe timing of observing at pre-operation and 1 week,3 months,6 months after postoperative.Evaluating curative effect by using the VAS grades,ODI index, and BMD. The two groups compared with each other in gender, age and BMD,confinn the.comparability between them, and then contrasting experiments to observe the therapeutic effect in post-treatment and the difference in each indicators.Results:1.Through the statistical analysis, the patients’general conditions on admission in the two groups were no statistical significance and had comparability(P>0.05).2.All the patients’ operation were successfully completed, compared with the preoperative, the two groups’ VAS grades had significantly decrease at the each timing, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);At the timing of 3 months and 6months,compared with the control group, the experimental group’s VAS grades had significantly decrease, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).It shows that the experimental group has better reatment effect than the control group in the field of pain.3.Compared with the preoperative, the two groups’ODI grades had significantly decrease at the each timing, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);At the timing of 3 months and 6months,compared with the control group, the experimental group’s ODI grades had significantly decrease, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).It shows that the experimental group has better reatment effect than the control group in the field of the activities and functions.4.At the timing of the one week after treatment, the two groups were no obvious improvement compared with the pre-operation in BMD,there was no statistical significance (P>0.05);but at the timing of the three month and six month after treatment, the experimental group had significantly increase than the control group in BMD, the difference was statistically significant(.P<0.05).It shows that the experimental group has better reatment effect than the control group in the field of increasing bone mineral density. Conclusion:It has the exact curative effect of treating the osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures percutaneous kyphoplasty postoperative with the Bugu decoction, which can not only promptly improve the patients’symptoms and living quality, but also effectively prevent the pain disorder in postoperation, improve the functional activities and increase bone density,it has affirm curative effect in short-term and mid-term,is worth the clinical promotion and application.
