Objective:The objective of this study was to observe the effectiveness of the compound danggui injection combined with cervical traction on cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type. From the contrast of two different treatment methods on cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type patients, the study’ result could be got. One treatment method was using drugs (compound danggui injection) and traction therapy. The other treatment method was traction only. This study could provide a new reference in the clinical treatment program on cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type. Methods:According to the diagnosis criteria of cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type, exclusion criteria and the case’s inclusion criteria, exclusion criteria,60patients who had cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type were collected at the Rehabilitation Department of xingtai people’s Hospital from June2010to December2011. The60patients were randomly divided into two groups:treatment group and control group. Each group had30cases. Treatment group was given cervical traction, and at the same time it was injected the compound danggui injection everyday on both sides of spinous process of cervical vertebra. The main injected parts were two sides of the5th and6th spinous process of cervical vertebra and the obvious tenderness. The injection of every time had2-4departments and each department was given1-2ml injection. This method was used once a day. Control group was only given cervical traction. The method and the cervical traction’s course of two groups were same. The traction was continuous traction of neck, which was once a day,20minutes every time and1/6-1/8traction force of their own weight. The cervical traction and drugs injection were all as14days as a course. All the related data of the two groups was analyzed by SPSS11.5statistical software through statistical methods. We used x2test to test the data. Results:The information of the60patients who had cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type was complete. According to the clinical information, in the treatment group,30patients had neck pain;30patients had dizziness;22patients had neck activities adversely;26patients had tinnitus;5patients had nausea and vomiting; one patient had collapsed history. In the control group,30patients had neck pain;30patients had dizziness;18patients had neck activities adversely;23patients had tinnitus;3patients had nausea and vomiting; none of them had collapsed history.60patients of cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type were taken by lateral view X-ray film and the double oblique view X-ray film of cervical. In the X-ray films, the cervical physiological curvature of the patients all became different degrees of straight or disappeared. At the same time, the vertebral clearance and the intervertebral foramen all changed narrow. The nuchal ligament was calcification and so on. Around the vertebral body, hyperplasia which was like lip could be seen. The hyperplasia between two adjacent vertebral bodies even could form bone bridge. According to the statistical tests, the sex, age and course of the treatment group and the control group patients had no statistically significant (P>0.05).Two groups had comparability. After a course of treatment, in treatment group,19patients’symptoms disappeared;10patients’symptoms improved; one patient’s symptoms had no change; nobody became worse. The total effective rate was96.7%. In control group,10patients’symptoms disappeared;12patients’symptoms improved;8patients’symptoms had no change; nobody became worse. The total effective rate was73.3%. According to the above data, the efficiency of treatment group was significantly higher than the control group’s. After the last test, the result of P was less than0.05. According to comparison, the total effective rate of the two groups had statistically significant. The effect of the treatment group was better than the control group’s.Conclusion:The efficiency of the compound danggui injection combined with cervical traction on cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type was better than cervical traction only. So this therapy method was worthy of spread in clinical.
