Clinical Study On Jieyu Huatan Decoction Treatment For Syndrome Of Intermingled Phlegm And Qi Of Type2Diabetes Mellitus Coexisted With Depression

Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of Jieyu Huatan Decoction treatment forsyndrome of intermingled phlegm and qi of Type2Diabetes Mellitus Coexisted withDepression.Methods: Those60diagnosed type2Diabetes mellitus coexisted with depression,who had been chosen into this clinical research, were divided into two groups at random:the treatment group and the control group. The treatment group had30cases and thecontrol group had30cases. Patients of the control group simply took the basis of modernmedical treatment and Shen Qijiangtangkeli. Patients of the treatment group were treatedwith Jieyu Huatan Decoction, adding the basis of modern medical treatment. All of thegroups were treated4weeks as a course, taken for2courses.Results: After the investigation of8weeks, the total effective rate of Jieyu HuatanDecoction group was86.7%, compared with which the total effective rate of the controlgroup was66.7%；treatment of TCM symptoms and signs compared with the control groupwas significant (P<0.05)；The two groups HAMD had statistical significance (P<0.05),andthe difference compared with the control group was significant (P<0.05)；The level of FPG,2hPG, HbA1c was statistically decreased, which was statistically different compared withthose of the control group (P<0.05)；There were no side effects discovered in both groupsduring the treatment.Conclusion: Compared with the control group, Jieyu Huatan Decoction could betterimprove the treatment of TCM symptoms and signs of Type2Diabetes mellitus coexistedwith depression. At the same time, it could improve FPG,2hPGand HbA1c.
