Objective: To assess the efficacy and mechanism ofQiZhuYunPiTang in the treatment of FC with Qi deficiency and bloodstasis syndrome.Methods:60patients were devided randomly into two groups.30patinets were received QiZhuYunPiTang as the study group,and30patinets were received WeiChangFuYuanGao capsules as the controlgroup. After4weeks’ treatment,the changes of clinic symptom wereanalyzed.Results: In the efficacy of TCM,the treatment group was betterthan control group (p<0.05). After one course of treatment,significantdifference was apparent in the clinical effects:In the treatment group,15cases recovered and10cases significantly improved,(thus the effectualrate is83.33%),3cases improved. The total effective rate in thetreatment group is93.33%. In the control group,9cases recovered and8cases significantly improved,(thus the effectual rate is56.67%),4casesimproved.The total effective rate in the control group is70.00%.Therewas statistically significant difference in the total effective rate betweenthe treatment group and control guoup(P<0.05).The effective rate from the treatment group is clearly superior. In the improvement of TCMsymptoms total score, the treatment group was better than control group(p<0.05).Conclusion: QiZhuYunPiTang was an effective prescription ofChinese medicine treating constipation. The mechanism of this therapymay be relation to the adjustment of gastrointestinal motility and so on.
